The Ordinary Advanced Retinoid 2% - a stable emulsion of next-generation forms of retinoid. This formulation combines two forms of next-generation retinoid actives in a combined concentration of 2% by weight. These two actives are: - Solubilized Hydroxypinacolone Retinoate is a highly-advanced form of retinoid which is, in fact, a non-prescription ester of all-trans direct retinoic acid that offers a multi-fold better effect against signs of ageing than retinol, retinyl palmitate and nearly all other forms of non-prescription retinoid; - A sustained-delivery form of pure retinol in a protective capsule system which supports both the delivery and the effect of Solubilized Hydroxypinacolone Retinoate. Both forms of retinoid used avoid the irritation associated with retinoid (including retinol) use while delivering better visible results against signs of ageing. I have been using this moisturizer for two weeks now, and it has completely transformed my skincare routine. The texture of the product is incredibly lightweight and feels luxurious on the skin. It has a perfect consistency that spreads evenly without feeling too thick or watery.

Great for fine lines but pain to keep in fridge
I've purchased this multiple times now. It doesn't irritate my skin, and I can definitely notice when I stop using it. Really helps fine lines and plumpness. The only annoying thing is having to keep it in the fridge.

Lovely texture and you only need a small amount. Not seen any results to my fine lines yet but I’m hopeful with continued use it will start to show.

Great so far
Have only used it a couple of times but it seems to be nice. I’m used to the one in squalane which is much oilier so this is a nice change. Not sure how strong it is as I haven’t used it enough but I’m hoping it’ll smooth out my skin even more - I want to look like a child.

Pretty good!
Don't expect quick, dramatic results, as this seems to be a gentle formula. Absorbs well and is much less oily than retinol in squalene, but I'm taking off 1 star as the formula is very runny so fiddly to handle. Would definitely recommend though.

Good price and makes a difference
I previously used a different brand of retinol serum and decided to try the Ordinary for a change. I much prefer this one. It doesn't irritate my skin and is easily absorbed. A little goes a long way.
