Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good but tricky [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] 4 stars because I do like it but it isn't quite as described and is hard to use. I really like the finish this foundation gives, though I wouldn't describe it as matte or natural matte, it's more like a natural skin finish. Nice with good powder on top but I think a top quality foundation should be able to stand on its own. Application takes a bit of getting used to, especially if you have any texture or drier patches. I'm not sure I've quite got it right around my nose yet, but I'm going to try with a sponge/blender and see if that works better. Also it says it's buildable to full coverage but it isn't, it's a nice medium coverage. If you try to build it up on tricky areas it starts to look a bit odd and doesn't actually cover more.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Obsessed with the finish I’ve been using this for weeks now and I am obsessed with the coverage. It’s so smooth and natural looking but still has that matte finish. It controls shine well throughout the day without feeling heavy or cakey which is a massive bonus.

It has a matte finish with a subtle satin sheen. I recommend moisturizing your skin well before applying this foundation, as it tends to highlight dry areas. It looks great in photos.

I am so picky with matte foundations because they usually make my skin look flat or end up clinging to dry patches by lunchtime but NARS completely nailed the formula with this one. It gives the most gorgeous, soft-focus natural matte finish. The coverage is beautiful. It’s a solid medium to full but it feels so weightless. It blurs out my pores and imperfections without ever looking cakey or heavy. What really blew me away is the staying power. It keeps my oils at bay all day long without losing that healthy, fresh appearance. No separating, no settling into fine lines, just beautiful skin all day long. I definitely recommend it!
