John Frieda Lightening Spray, Water/Aqua/Eau, Hydrogen Peroxide, Polysorbate 20, Etidronic Acid, Sodium Hydroxide, Acetaminophen, Phosphoric Acid, Citrus Limon (Lemon) Peel Oil, Citrus Aurantium Peel Oil, Panthenol, Succinic Acid, VP/VA Copolymer, Polyquaternium-47, Polyquaternium-55, Salicylic Acid, Phenoxyethanol, Sodium Benzoate, Fragrance/Parfum, Benzyl Alcohol, Limonene, Pinene, Acid Violet 43
Gradually lightens by up to 2 shades for a shiny, sunkissed blonde.
Directions
Directions: Spray carefully onto clean, towel-dried hair. Then apply heat protectors or styler as usual. Immediately blow dry your hair completely. For optimal lightening, use straighteners or curling tongs afterwards. Use only after every other hair wash on freshly washed, damp hair. Do not use more than 10 times on same portion of hair. Spray will not remove brassy tones.

Amazing product (if you read the instructions)!
The number of people blatantly admitting they didn't follow the instructions at all and then leaving 1* reviews is crazy! (i.e. using on brown hair, already bleached hair, using over 10 times).
I have very fine dark blond/ light brown hair and used this spray as an alternative to balayage as dyeing it many times has made my ends incredibly dry and damaged.
I used on my grown out roots and it works absolutely perfectly, matched my roots nicely to the dyed hair whilst still keeping it soft and in good condition. It came out slightly brassy at first but looks wonderful once I used purple shampoo.
I will absolutely continue using this once my roots have grown out again, and love it as an alternative to expensive/ damaging salon trips.
It's unfortunate how many people don't bother to follow the instructions at all and then leave bad reviews, however I do think that they should make it more clear that you cannot necessarily go and get your hair dyed again after using this, as it seems that many people have been disappointed by that.
If you are on your healthy hair journey, committing to no more heavy bleaching and have dark blonde/ almost-blonde hair, I would really recommend this product! Allowed me to still have the blonde look whilst taking care of my hair and is such a great price.

Decent
I had virgin black hair and I know that it won't make my hair blonde, I just wanted brown hair. It did get somewhat lighter. Only kind of brassy but blue shampoo helps if you don't like it, so if you want brown hair go for it. No hair damage but do not bleach hair after using it if you do not want melted hair. I would buy two of them since it runs out fast for longer hair.

got this to lighten my roots and it made my hair the blondest it’s ever been IN MY LIFE i’ve been going to salons for years and they’ve never gotten my hair this blonde. 10/10

Avoid at all costs
My daughter bought this and used it for 4 days on holiday. Initially her hair went lighter and she was really happy with the results but by the end of the week her hair was going orange at the top and then for week and weeks her hair was dry and in terrible condition with a brassy orange tone. I took her to the hairdressers after 3 months of trying to let her hair recover. I booked her in for highlights and explained what she’d put in her hair. They did a strand test (thankfully!!) and her hair melted! The hairdresser said they’ve had to deal with this before, this spray ruining hair. She now can’t get highlights until her hair grows out. The spray completely wrecked her hair. Please avoid!!

Terrible

Worked fantastically on my dark hair
I bought the spray just to see if it could lighten my roots, I’m a natural dark brown-black, I bleached my hair (it was blue) to go on holiday and ended up with “mermaid” hair which I didn’t mind. I didn’t have time to bleach or dye my hair/fix my roots, I used this spray a few times and my roots are no longer dark brown-black but instead a very light brown almost ginger which I think is great considering my natural hair colour.

Waste of money, ruined my hair
This product made my hair bright yellow and orange, I went to the hair salon to try and get it fixed but nothing can be done because of the ingredients. The hairdresser tried a strand test on my hair with toner and it sizzled and broke. I am a natural blonde and my roots are coming in black, this product has ruined my hair and nothing can be done to fix it. Do not waste your money on this product it will destroy your hair.
