Directions
- First, use the PRIME shade to gild the eye with a wash of golden colour.
- Then, blend the DUO-CHROME ENHANCE shade across the lid to capture and reflect the light.
- Apply the rich, warm SMOKE shade to the eye crease, lash line and under the eye for a more intense, amplified look.
- Finish with a POP of golden champagne shimmer on the centre of the lid.

‘Queen of Luck’ Eyeshadow Quad - Limited Edition
(For reference: I am a very pale person, the flawless filter shade one is too dark for me. The best matches for my skin tone are the NARS concealer in ‘chantilly’ or the Rose Inc Concealer in ‘LX010’.)
I love this quad! Although I’ve owned other Charlotte Tilbury (CT) products before I’ve never tested the eyeshadows. The palette is slightly smaller than I expected - however this is by no means a negative and I actually think it’s a good size and weight. The packaging is a beautiful dark red, almost to the point of being black, glossy outer case with the classic shiny rose gold innards. It’s much simpler than some of the other CT packaging I’ve seen and I actually prefer it to most other pieces I own.
The matte brown shade isn’t as dark as it appeared online - which for me is a massive plus! I have a mixture of peach, yellow and green undertones (largely leaning warm on my face, I wear Glossier Very Light 3 for yellow undertones so I would say that is my more dominant), and most browns can appear very dark and almost sallow or orange on me. Although in the swatches (especially indoor) the brown looks more orange, against my brown eyes it truly looks a neutral brown and is one of the best, rich browns I’ve tried.
The white/champange shimmer in the top left has a different texture to the gold and the pink/gold duo-chrome. I much prefer the texture of the top left. It’s more of a satin finish and much more creamy to the touch with a denser, more even distribution of colour than the other two shimmers.
The gold and the pink/gold duo-chrome seem to be the same formula. They’re very sheer, very glitter but don’t have the ‘wet look’ that I (and so many others) love. They’re by no means bad, just an everyday sparkle rather than a smooth high impact shine.
All shades apply beautifully and pigmented using a brush or fingers.
I really enjoy the composition of 3 shimmers and 1 matte in the palette and think it is practical and works well.
One issue I have with the palette is it’s limited edition and I think limited edition releases can too often be inaccessible and unnecessary for a variety of reasons.

Not the usual quality I expect from CT
My luxury palettes arrived today and I’m sad to say I was disappointed. The packaging was of the usual high quality and the colours looked beautiful. However having tried all 4 of the colours, I found there was a serious lack of pigment. The matte brown shade was the only one which I felt have any payoff, the others were insipid and I found it impossible to build any colour. The product did blend well, but there was just very little colour to see on my skin. Having bought all of the previous limited edition palettes as well as the bigger palettes I was left disappointed with the reduction in quality.
Sadly I would not recommend this one.

Stunning
I love colour stories like these because they are really wearable whether you want to build up to a full glam moment or have a subtle sheen of shimmer on your eyes. Though some would argue the colours are similars to palettes previously launched when you swatch the shimmers they are even more pigmented then the palettes compared. Love the shadows can’t wait to wear on NYE
