Directions
- Prep your lids with a good primer. r.e.m. beauty Midnight Shadows Matte Liquid Eyeshadows make a great priming base.
- Apply the metallic shades with a damp brush for an otherworldly foiled effect.

I have the limited edition eyeshadow palette from this brand and I haven’t been wowed by it [the thank u next palette], however the quality of the permanent R.E.M. eyeshadow palettes are turning out to be very different; the reasonable price, highly coordinated shades that have been trimmed down to avoid overlap, and the great product formulas, combine to make this an ease & joy to use. The smooth application and ease of blending with the mattes is superb, and the metallic formulas are creamy, don't have glitter chunks in them, and they are not too thin - my personal favourite formula for metallic finishes.
As said above, I haven't had any problems with any of the formulas for any of the shades - everything applies smoothly and wears well all day, with no fade or creasing. I honestly can't come up with any negatives for this product as a whole, except for that the colour stories are not reinventing the wheel.
Due to the unoriginal colour stories I won't call these palettes a must-have, but if these shades are your thing & you want a smaller palette, then I do think that these are fantastic items for you to consider- the palettes are very nice capsule collections of universal necessities, that create year-round looks, that range from barely there, work/school, dates and big nights out. I'm not saying that these are the best eyeshadow formulas I've ever tried or anything, but for the price point that this palette is sold at, I'm very happy with the performance - the R.E.M. quality levels as a whole are inconsistent, but this is one of the products that has impressed me.
