Won't recommend!
Smells good but lasts 5 seconds! I know it's EDT but surely they could have done better! I won't be buying any more YSL perfumes as I've been disappointed with all my buys!

Lovely strong scent (though not very long lasting)
Gorgeous scent, lovely and strong and really takes you back a few years! Only downside for me though, is it doesn't last very long at all (many scents can be like that on my skin) and I am disappointed by this. Am now wondering whether I should have purchased the EDP, even thought it contained different notes but unfortunately it's a little too pricey to take another gamble.

I received this OPIUM as a Birthday gift, I have used this brand and Eau de Toilette for many years and as long as it is available I will continue to do so.

Well... as a child I remember smelling the parfum my mum had and loving the rich spicy fragrance. I had heard the formula had changed and upset everyone. I actually just blind bought this to see how much was left of the original. It was love at first spray. Beautiful scent that did bring back memories. Although I can see it is not the exact same there is enough there to transport me to another place. I now realise where I get my love of spicy scents from.
After the initial spray it seemed quite astringent until it settled into something warm and beautiful. I didnt find it that strong but the fragrance seemed stable and long lasting after it settles. I'd happily wear this in the summer. Next time I'll try the edp.
I'd love for ysl to release the true original for a time. It would be really expensive but would show this modern potemkin village how we used to live.

Very sad day
I have worn Opium on & off for years but i have always returned to it. Today i purchased a bottle looking forward to the lovely rich aroma to engulf me, but i didnt! What has happened? Im really really sad to say that something has been changed in this once gorgeous perfume & its not a good change. I never thought i wouldnt ever wear Opium again but it seems i wont be😥

Gorgeous
Spicy, warm, sweet - basically an explosion at the spice factory. Cosy and sensual, envelops you in a sweet cloud. It's a timeless classic, despite being an older release it seems like it could never date. Has a slight cola edge to it. Balsamic and gothy, lasts for days.
