Mandelic Acid is water-soluble alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) that offers superficial exfoliation. It does so by targeting the outermost layer of the skin and promoting its shedding to enhance overall radiance. This 10% formulation offers mild exfoliation for visible clarity. The molecular weight of Mandelic Acid is 152.1 daltons which is larger than other alpha hydroxy acids, such as Glycolic Acid (Glycolic Acid is 76.0 daltons). This larger size gives Mandelic Acid a lower penetration rate, making it a great option for first-time users.

Directions

Apply once daily, ideally in the evening.
The formula can be diluted with other products to reduce strength until skin develops tolerance.
Do not use on sensitive, peeling, or compromised skin.
Avoid the eye contour and contact with eyes.
Contact of the product with the skin must be of limited frequency or duration.



If irritation occurs, rinse off, cease use, and consult a physician.
Use only as directed on unbroken skin.
Patch testing prior to use is advised.
Keep out of reach of children.



Sunburn Alert: This product contains an alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) that may increase your skin's sensitivity to the sun and particularly the possibility of sunburn. Use a sunscreen, wear protective clothing, and limit sun exposure while using this product and for a week afterwards.



Note: While exfoliating acids can result in quick visible benefits, we generally suggest indirect forms of skin exfoliation for a gentler approach. Please refer to NIOD's Non-Acid Acid Precursor for such a reference.



Caution: This product contains a beta hydroxy acid (BHA) that may increase your skin's sensitivity to the sun and particularly the possibility of sunburn.
Use a sunscreen, wear protective clothing, and limit sun exposure while using this product and for a week afterwards.



We do not recommend combining this product in the same regimen with Direct or Ethylated Vitamin C (LAA/ELAA), Direct Acids, Retinoids, Peptides, EUK 134 0.1%, and Niacinamide Powder.
