The metal curlers do not work for me and tug on my lashes. This little gadget is amazing. It's not hot ... just pleasantly warm, lifts at the root and holds a curl all when I add mascara (haven't tried it without.)

I wanted to try something that was more effective giving her a more dramatic look in hope she wouldn’t just keep re curling all morning. Her feedback on this wasn’t great. She’s back on the manual scissor style ones.

Can this product burn your eyelid / singe lashes?

I’ve not had an issue with it. I’ve squished my eyelid in it by mistake like in other curlers, but it doesn’t get hot enough to burn.
