Lovely scent

Fresh floral scent easy to use

The perfect daily fragrance
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I was offered to try out a Penhaligon perfume I jumped at the chance. I chose Luna on name alone as it sounded mystical and maybe a bit warm.
So, I was then pleasantly surprised when I took myself to the website, I found it is actually a bright citrus, a blend of lemon and bergamot top notes, my main favourite essential oils. Which on wearing, faded to a gentle rose/musk base that isn’t heavy and stays with you without needing to top up.
As always, one of my assistant reviewers had to help, checking for breaking from heights/batting/chasing, and that his fur didn’t smell after cuddles - it passed.

Beautiful spa like scent
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I absolutely fell in love with the scent of this perfume. It smells like I have just had the most amazing spa treatment and I instantly feel relaxed after spraying on my wrists and neck. I have had many compliments from the perfume too which makes me feel wonderful too. I love the bottle size, so easy to chuck in my handbag and grab when I want a top up. I feel like this is an everyday scent rather than an occasion scent due to the way it reminds me of a relaxing day at a spa. I honestly just take in a deep breath of the perfume when im feeling stressed and I feel so much better. I really love this perfume and I will be buying more.

Love the bottle and size, but smell isn’t for me
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This sized bottle is perfect to pop in your bag and have handy whilst out and about, it is bigger than your standard perfume sample so means you get a good test of it before purchasing bigger bottles so love the idea of this. Its scent is good and strong, although I feel it doesn’t last very long and the smell wears off quite easily. It’s quite floral but the hint of musk isn’t for me, the packaging doesn’t explain its scent at all but for me it smells quite musky so I wouldn’t purchase this.

Penhaligon’s Luna eau de toilette
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Luna eau de toilette by Penhaligon’s is a soothing, sensual fragrance. Upon first impression, it really conjures an image of being in a dream, walking in the forest under the moonlight.
It has a subtle opening. The notes of lemon, bergamot and orange would seem like they would be brash or loud, but it’s delicate and balanced instead. It kind of draws you in… The heart notes of rose and jasmine make it a hint more floral but I wouldn’t describe this as a floral fragrance. They are beautifully mixed with the more herbal tone of juniper berries. The base has a hint of muskiness and a more earthy tone thanks to the balsam fir, along with the ambergris — the latter of which gives this fragrance a feeling of warmth and completeness. On first impression, Luna would seem like it is simple and unassuming, but it develops so beautifully on the skin. Each time I smell it, I get more of its interesting character and true beauty.
The packaging is great. The atomiser is made from glass, of solid quality and perfect for use on the go. It is an eau de toilette, so it’s subtle but it lasts a few hours for me. Its beauty is in its subtlety. It’s more of an intimate, thoughtful fragrance and has a soft projection whenever I wear it. I really only wear it for myself.
I appreciate it most for day time wear more than as night fragrance, even though it would be perfect before bed time: it has a certain dreaminess to it.
Thanks to the unusual mix of floral and forest type notes, I think everyone can enjoy this fragrance. Enjoy the magic and mystery under the moonlight.
