Smoothing that actually smoothes
I bought this as a more affordable way to upgrade my hair game from a reputable brand and it's definitely made a difference to my hair. The bristles help to spread the natural oil without making my hair frizz like plastic bristles do, which had always scared me off of these sort of 'smoothing' brushes.
As a full disclaimer, I did pull out the longer nylon bristles with a pair of pliers because I don't like to use that material on my hair. But it was a fun few minutes of doing that, so I'm not upset about it at all for the price, but that's why this isn't five stars. If that's not something that bothers you, it'd be a five star!

Great brush
I have long fairly thick,wavy hair,so I was a bit worried about reading some reviews where people were saying the bristles were too short. I havnt found the bristles to be too short or bendy,and they certainly arnt scratchy. I still use a plastic brush on damp hair,but use my lovely new wooden brush on dry hair.

Don't waste your money
You could buy 10 of these or you could cut to the chase and buy a Mason Pearson mixed bristle brush.
The bristles aren't long enough to penetrate the scalp & they're not densely compacted enough.
Other than it being not very effective it's a nice looking brush.

I purchase a new KENT PORCUPINE hair brush once...
I purchase a new KENT PORCUPINE hair brush once every year (not because my old hair brush requires changing,It's just that I like to have a brand new one !) Kent brushes never fail to impress me. I can't see me ever changing to a new brand. Kent is pure British Quality at it's best.
