Rated 1 out of 5 by from Ruined a good product. What on earth have you done to this hairspray?! I've been using John Frieda moisture barrier intense hold hairspray pretty much since it first came out & it was the absolute best spray going by a mile. Have totally relied on it. As usual, I've bought three at a time as I don't have a shop nearby & I dread running out. Been using the first of the new 'improved' batch for a week & am SO disappointed. The worst thing is the awful scent, so sickly it makes me - & others around me - feel quite sick. The spray is certainly much finer & drier landing on the hair, but doesn't hold the style as well & leaves my hair feeling sort of crispy dry & yet sticky. Why on earth did you have to muck about with such a good product, please rethink. Please!!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Smells awful I have used John Frieda moisture barrier hairspray. I believe the makeup of the product has been changed. It smells awful, hold has been reduced and I am instantly allergic to it on use. I am waiting for the extra hold moisture barrier hairspray to be available. If it has the same make up I will not be able to use it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Why Have You Changed The Formula?! Absolutely dreadful new formula. This spray makes my hair crispy, doesn't easily brush out and the smell is really not great. The old formula was absolutely perfect. I'm so disappointed with this rebrand and formula change. I've been using and relying on John Frieda for years. Not any longer. Please see sense John Frieda, and revert to the old formula.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very impressed [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m really impressed with this hairspray. It keeps my style in place all day without making my hair feel stiff or crunchy. It also does a great job at controlling frizz, even in humid weather, which is a big plus for me.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It does what it does. It holds my hair very well. My hair is thick, I will have to try it in rainy dahs to see if the results are the same but so far it holds hair in place.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from USELESS! This was always my go to hairspray, but the new style bottles are absolutely rubbish and it doesn't last at all anymore!! Check the honest reviews on Boots - I'm not the only one hating it! Will have to start shopping around for a different brand now. Why don't they just leave things alone!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Ok [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am not a big fan of hairsprays in general as they never seem to agree with my hair or scalp. Nonetheless this hairspray did a decent job at holding my hairstyle and prevented frizziness. My hair was a bit dry after use and it lost some of the hydration that the shampoo and conditioners provided. Overall unlikely I will use again.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Dreadful Dreadful new formula, why change perfection? This is 2nd perfect hairspray (1st being frizz ease liquid hairspray in grey bottle with spray pump, many many years ago). New formula is the same as hundreds of no-hold products around. What is the obsession with changing something really great? I see that all new reviews that are not (surprise surprise) incentivised are rock bottom negative. I for sure will be shopping elsewhere as no other products currently on offer by John Frieda compares to discontinued perfection. Really disappointed.
