I’m absolutely delighted with the ghd Speed Ionic Hair Dryer. As a professional hairstylist, I immediately noticed how much faster it dries the hair, which makes a huge difference during busy days in the salon.

GHD Speed: Smooth Hair & Fast Results!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I absolutely love this hairdryer. The biggest standout for me is how smooth and frizz-free it leaves my hair — it looks sleeker, shinier and feels so much softer straight away.
It’s also super quick to dry, which makes getting ready so much easier. With my old hairdryer I always had to use straighteners after, but now I don’t feel the need to anywhere near as much because it already looks so smooth.
I love the sleek design and the silver and white colour — such a nice change compared to all my other products. I also love the visual display showing the heat and power strength — it feels really modern and makes it easy to control.
Only slight downside is it’s still a bit heavy to hold during a longer blow-dry, but the results definitely make up for it. I would highly recommend it if you’re looking for a powerful dryer that leaves your hair smooth and polished.

Great design hair feels healthy but slower process
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I typically air dry my hair before styling as I was using a hair dryer previously and found my hair was really drying out and I always felt sweaty after! It was either super hot or freezing cold, nothing in between.
This product has made a huge difference, my hair feels silky smooth after drying and it doesn’t feel hot whilst drying. It’s a perfect balance of cool/warm air, the only negative is that it does take a little longer to dry without the extreme heat but then the pro is that it’s not so damaging!
I’m very impressed with the product, it’s a sleek design and comfortable to grip/ move about with. Weight is pretty much similar to any other hair dryer so not a difference with that element.
Overall, it’s a great design and leaves hair feeling healthy, unlike standard hair dryers that make my hair go frizzy/dry. Definitely worth a try.

I really love that the attachments are magnetic and they weren’t burning hot if I touched them which is such a game changer for moving the nozzle round when needed. I did feel the hairdryer was heavier than what I’m used to which meant my arms were a bit fatigued while trying to smoothly dry my thick hair. I didn’t seem to get used to the weight the more I used it which is why it’s a 4/5. I will still use it as it’s a great hairdryer just isn’t ideal if you are having to use it for a long period.

It’s incredibly powerful yet beautifully controlled, and as someone with naturally curly hair, I’m amazed at how well it works without creating any frizz. Before this, I was using a very well‑known hairdryer from a major GHD competitor, and honestly, this new GHD has completely blown it out of the water. The difference in performance, control, and finish is huge.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have very thick, coarse, fuzzy hair that I find hard to manage. I honestly did not think a hair dryer could give such professional results.
It is a sleek design with clear dials so can see the speed and temperature and I think it is a lovely touch to be able to lock in your setting incase you accidentally change the settings.
Love that the barrel doesn’t get hot as I found it easier to hold the barrel for some areas.
I could get really close to scalp to more lift and body using the cool setting.
I wanted a bouncy smooth blow dry, the speed I could achieve this was incredible.
Who wants to spend ages styling their hair?!
Also, the fact is not causing more damage to the hair is another amazing feature.
Obviously you do need to use the correct products for your hair as well but I found my style lasted much longer and even not as fuzzy as normal after an intense gym work out!
I am blown away with this supersonic hair dryer and would highly recommend.

Super lightweight - fab!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have the grey and white dryer. It’s so incredibly light, so that’s is a huge bonus for me as I have arthritis in my hands.
It’s a gorgeous sleek and futuristic design too which is cool. I like that you can lock the settings on the buttons. The various speeds are better than previous dryers I’ve had.
I have thick hair and it never seems to get dried all the way through even if I separate my hair. But because the head attachment (which just goes on with magnet) is narrow I was able to concentrate on sections of hair more rather than bits getting blown about.
