Slightly Disappointing
Purchased the classic straighteners about a month ago having had my previous pair for 18 years. I think the quality compared to my original ones is poor. They feel very cheap, the plates seem much shorter and the general feel running them over my hair doesn’t seem anywhere near as good. Feel like corners have been cut to save money.

Replacement for damaged GHD
I bought these as a like for like replacement. The older ones although looked in perfect condition started making an electrical crackling sound when in use and never really got up to temperature. I like the brand hence buying replacements just a bit disappointed they only lasted 3 years.
