What has happened
I have used Pale almond for years and it was lovely. Then I got a new refill and the colour had changed, it's now orange. Such a shame. I will keep looking for a new shade.

Fomula Changed, less premium, more hight street
The formula has changed which hasn't gone un-noticed by other users, The powder is now missing the SPF rating, is powdery, slightly drier, takes more to cover, and the colour has changed. If EL have used a high street brand powder as a replacement and still charging for EL previous quality, the El Double wear is not worth buying anymore. I've found a UK brand that's just as good as the old EL.

Rattan foundation powder
First years i have used and been so happy with rattan powder foundation. But they changed something in 2025, it became so so dark greasy and patchy application with such horrible results.Ever since I've had such a awful experience with this company finding the right shade.Why did they change something that was working so well for everyone, doesn't make sense.Please bring back the old rattan shade dont like the new one at all.

Rattan 2W2 has changed shade. Far too dark
I have used this foundation in the Rattan shade 2W2 for years and it's the perfect colour for me. However, I recently bought a new one from an external well respected stockist and the colour was far too dark, I assumed it was a factory error of the wrong shade in the wrong packaging. They refunded straight away and I ordered from another stockist just to find the same issue, I am awaiting a response to see if they will refund otherwise I've wasted more money. Will now be on the hunt for a new foundation! What a shame

2W2 Rattan new colour is too dark
I've been wearing 2W2 Rattan Double Wear Face Powder for as long as I can remember; and it has always been the perfect shade for me. However, my most recent purchase is a darker shade than before and it doesn't suit me at all. I'm not sure what to do since I no longer live in a city with an Estee Lauder counter; but I don't dare try to guess which shade might be the same as 2W2Rattan used to be for fear of losing more money than I already have.

Perfect for school run days!
I have tried other powders and found them too light in coverage, this is the only one that gives me enough coverage as you can really get from a powder. I use it for the school run days where I am in a rush and don't have time for a full face of makeup. It is perfect when I want some coverage on my face but I don't need anything as heavy as the foundation. I use the same shade as the one I use in the foundation.

Awful since change
I ve used the powder foundation for years, after trying numerous other brands and never finding a great shade. I tried EstÈe Lauder and was hooked until recently, I reordered my usual colour of Peeble and when it came I knew instantly that it was a different shade, when I put against my old one I couldn't believe the difference. I went into store and spoke to a beauty rep who then match me with a different shade of pure beige, trusting her choice I purchased and tried at home and couldn't believe the orange tone it had it was awful, I continued to try it thinking I would get used to it, as didn't want to waste my money. But have given in today and gone back and again spoken to a beauty rep who has now suggested a different shade. I have not used it as yet but I am very hesitant as if your beauty reps can't get it right then something is seriously wrong. I don't know what you have done to the pigmentation but it is awful, I will be taking back for a refund this time if I use its couple of times and it isn't the right shade as this is now the 3rd time I will be out of pocket. I would suggest you think very carefully on shad bride purchasing.
