Directions
Spray Aveda Sun Care Protective Hair Veil evenly on dry or damp hair before and during sun exposure. Start with small amount and layer as needed, do not saturate hair. Re-apply after swimming.

This is a very honest review by someone who doesn't leave reviews often . I bought this before my holiday and had high expectations because i have used their products and loved them all by far, but this one has dried my hair so much . As soon as i sprayed it on my hair it smells like alcohol ( no wonder , when i checked this was their first ingredient ) It left a sticky and drying feeling on my hair , honestly i stopped using it cos i was afraid of damaging my hair .

My favourite Aveda product!!
I am an ELC employee, however if i could purchase one aveda product for the rest of my life it would be this one. I've used it the last 3 years, mostly in the summer. Usually salt water makes my thick hair dry and hard to brush, but when i use this product throughout the day it keeps my hair soft, conditioned and easy to detangle. It helps me avoid scalp sunburns, is easy to apply and smells refreshingly. On beach/pool days, I use this product in the day time and the botanical repair leave-in treatment in the morning and evening. This product combination has made my hair a lot less dry and damaged at the end of summer. Cannot recommend enough, i tell everyone about it!

UV protection for my hair!!
I have been using Sun Vail on holiday and it is amazing. I colour my hair and wanted to protect it from lightening too much, this product smells great and my colour has remained the same. Smells incredible too!

What are the UV filters used?
The product description mentions UV filters but I can't seem to find any in the list of ingredients. Which filters are used here, are there any evidence of testing them on hair rather than skin? I was buying this product before and kind of hoping it did the job of minimising the accumulated UV impact, but now that I started exploring the subject I'm not so sure. Also, as mentioned by other review, Alcohol Denat is on the first place and this is not great at all
