Directions

Work a small amount of Aveda Men Pure-Formance Grooming Clay between palms and apply evenly through damp or dry hair.

Sometimes the clay seems harder and sometimes softer. I prefer the harder formulation. I'm not sure if this inconsistency is true in every batch but I've used this product so much and there's definitely a change in texture between products I buy which affects the performance of the product in my opinion. I wish this didn't happen.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great choice for keeping stocked this product is great as a base styling product if you want extra definition. Like apply baxters of california clay pomade if you want hairstyle to last all day & more. Definitely useful for short hair styling. Best for me on very nearly dry hair. Needs blending for a few mins in or you'll end up with white clumps of clay so do not rush your styling. I start from back to front as starting from front gets fringe a bit clumpy. Then reapply. Will last depending on weather conditions something like 6 hours. This has strong hold but does not provide stiff hair.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent gift for my husband This clay is excellent - yes it's rather expensive but I have to say it's worth every penny. It adds texture and volume whilst allowing sculpted styling, without being greasy or sticky like most other texturising products he's tried. Smells beautiful as expected for an AVEDA product. It's well worth a try and will be a repeat purchase.
