Poor adhesion
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As an avid fan of all things Clarins I am so disappointed with this new product. I first purchased the sample pack to match the foundation I currently use from another brand. I believed I’d found a good match so ordered the full size product.
The item I received bore little resemblance to the sample shade but what was most disappointing was the adhesion when I applied it to my skin. My skin was fully prepped as I use the Double Serum and Extra Firming moisturiser daily. The foundation looked as though it had melted on my skin and although I built up the coverage it remained patchy. I tried both a foundation brush and also my finger but neither made any difference.
Given the price of this new product it was an expensive mistake to purchase it in the belief it would do what the website described and I’m now left with a product I’m unable to use and cannot recommend it despite being committed to Clarins products for forty years.

Shade Guide would be helpful
Hi, initially on choosing a shade, it would have been so much easier and helpful, if there was a recommendation on this. I use and having been using your foundation now for years, the same shade and people comment on how lovely it is, however due to not having that assistance, ie you use this shade in this product, so we recommend this shade in this product. Due to not having the above, I had to open the bottle and it way to light for me, which has left me with an expensive purchase that I cannot use and having to place an order for my normal foundation, so I’ve paid double, so not impressed at all. Excellent colour match and coverage
Excellent colour match. With very pale skin I struggle to get a good colour match and if often oxidises during the day. This serum foundation however, is perfect. The coverage is buildable so can choose between a very light, sheer cover or layer for fuller coverage.

I didn't expect such good coverage due to the addition of the serum, I was wrong!
I've had multiple compliments which is new to me.
My skin not only looks better but also feels better. I will repurchase.

Go-to foundation
I got this foundation a month ago, ordered the sample bar to get the right shade match. In my mid 30s, this is definitely a need, to have a foundation infused with skincare. I love the scent as well, so if you're into fragrance free, this would be a no for you.
