Lovely looking and powerful
The hair dryer looks great and has plenty of power so dries hair quickly. Lots of options re power and temperature. My only criticism is for me it’s a little heavy and although it has a cold shot button I miss the hot boost button from the dryer it replaced.

Hair smooth and dry in super quick time!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My hair is long, thick and wavy and usually takes AGES to dry. This hair dryer managed to get my hair dry in record time. It’s powerful but seems to really smooth my hair, I use a proper brush to help tame my frizz and it works really well. Plus it has a really sleek design which looks cool. If I had any suggestions for improvement it would be to lengthen the power cable (but that may be because my mirror is too far from a plug socket).

Noticeably different!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I don't always use conditioner on my hair and hardly ever other 'products', so the first time I tried the Black Onyx Dryer, it was just using a decent shampoo and nothing else. My hair in it's natural state is prone to being a bit frizzy, a bit kinky, rather flat with little natural shine. I dry it from briefly towelled off and I noticed how much more quickly it dried the sections of hair. I only section it into five, so not at all a faff.
Normally, I would always finish my hair, when it is bone dry, with a BaByliss Big Hair Rotation brush, which lends a bit of volume and extra shine, but I can honestly say if I wasn't in the mood, I would not feel I 'have' to use it after drying with the Black Onyx.
I have used the dryer now with conditioner and even a bit of an anti frizz product, just to see a difference. I was out in some mizzly rain the other day, which usually means 'flat and woolly' in no time, but my hair, although going a little curlier, looked acceptable.
The air flow is very strong, but on full power, it doesn't seem too hot, which I like. If I had to think of a negative, it would only be the rocker switch, which is not so easy to use with the side of the thumb without thinking about it; the first time I used the dryer, I didn't have it on full power for half a minute, but perhaps that was because the switch was new to me.
The Black Onyx dryer is noticeably different. My present dryer is BaByliss, bought maybe 18 months ago, but I positively prefer the new one!

Hair Is Dry In Record Time With This Beauty!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am in my 50s and my hair is (too) long, the layers are now reduced so my hair tends to lie limp. However, with the highest speed/heat setting my hair can be dried in about 10 minutes as it is very powerful. My hair becomes more bouncy, with more body as a result. The dryer itself is lightweight with a long cord that has a plastic tie to keep it together for storage purposes. I don't tend to use the nozzle but I tried it out anyway and others will be able to style with it very well as there is an excellent cool setting on it, plus the Cool Boost Button that I use to cool my face down at the end! This is a much more powerful and efficient dryer compared to my previous BaByliss and it shouldn't use as much electricity because it's quicker. My only two gripes are that it's loud on the highest setting and I reckon the Cool Boost Button should be a bit lower down.
