Directions
Use on dry or damp hair. Melt it between your palms before use, creating a ‘whipped’ texture. Apply to the ends first, scrunching upwards to create definition. Do not rinse out. No residue, greasiness or crunch.

No hold beyond first day for my fine hair
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have very fine, porous curls and usually use Curlsmith's Fragrance Free strong hold gel, which I love. But I decided to try their Curl Defining Styling Soufflé, since it seems to be so popular. I did my usual hair care routine on wash day, but just swapped out my usual strong hold gel for this Curl Defining Styling Souffle. It created a great cast post-wash, followed by well-defined non-frizzy ringlets after I broke the cast. Went out that night and all was good. Then I slept with my regular silk bonnet and my curls were a hot mess the next day: frizz, ringlets all loosened up, etc. I had to completely redo it. Even my boyfriend asked me "what happened to your hair?". He NEVER does that. I guess it just doesn't provide enough hold for my particular type of hair.

A bit flat on the curls
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Lovely soft result, but not as much hold as I’d expected. Used it on its own without any other curl product beforehand, which may be what I need. Neutral smell, no frizz, just needs more curl creation oomph.

Too much hold for me
Not my favourite curlsmith product. I have fine wavy hair and I felt this made it a bit too stiff, I prefer the hydro Flexi jelly to keep more movement and flexibility in my hair. But it does smell nice and gives good strong hold if that's what you need.

this stuff is magical!
my hair is typically damaged 2b with moderate frizz and i haven’t found a product that gives me good definition until this one. it smells great, holds well, has a nice texture and my day 3 hair is looking more like 2c! definitely repurchasing when i run out!!

Great non-drying gel!
One of my favourite ever gels. Has a decent hold without drying my hair out like many can. Smell is great and I love that you can get in a jumbo, makes it really good value!
